What anime seemed boring at first, but turned out to be awesome?

Believe it or not one of my most favouritest anime, Kanon, struck me as being a little dull at first. originally I watched it sort of expecting similar to Love Hina in which they kept you entertained by comedy. Kanon was very dramatic and thus came across as slow, but the minute the drama started kicking in I was on the edge of my seat with tissues (For crying in, for anyone who thought differently)....it was beautiful, the day i realised my passion for Romance/Drama's.
