Even though I miss some memories and friends - I would never wanna be child anymore. Even if I could live my childhood again and do things differently, I wouldn't do it. As I said already, I don't miss it.

I've never laid a hand on her, and I've never seen a reason to. The day l escaped the rule of my violent, crazy mother (single parent), was my day of liberation. For 12 years after I left, the worst nightmares I had was that my life of freedom was all a dream and that I was still a child under my mother's rule. I'd wake up in a terrifying sweat. I'm happy with who I am. The past is behind me. If I want a childhood that I was denied, I can always read manga and watch anime.

I definetly agree with you.^^ I had a violent, single parent mother too. And she was also an alcoholic. If I ever have kids - I will make sure that they will get a perfectly normal childhood, because I seriously went through hell. I don't wanna even think about it. But past is past and my mother is not the only one to blame. It's just that I couldn't spend my childhood almost at all. I was about 10 years old when I had to start to behave like an adult and take care of my sisters and eventually my mother too. It was so hard, because the person you love the most was always hitting you.

Every stage of life EVERYONE thinks it's hard or harder.....I asked my 7 year old .....is life hard? she said .....yes, you make me do chores. I laughed. When were "IN" life ....we think it's hard but most of the time it's about to prepare us for more hardships in the future and how to deal with it. Love the stage of life your in NOW and then you wouldn't have regrets later =)
