jtiskool305 wrote: This sucks -__- I've already seen this. Also its only eight real simulcast? Not ten? No you are misunderstanding this whole thing. They are not counting the first season as a simuclast so only 7 are confirmed so far the other 3 will be confirmed tommorow. Also the new season of saint seiya is being counted as a simuclast since it starts in feb,2011 understand. So all of them are real simuclasts the first season isn't being counted as one because it isn't. |

What it takes is a win-win deal with enough benefit to Funimation to get them to agree. How big One Piece is in Japan is no big obstacle, given that its already being simulcast in the biggest international rights income market. |

Obvious fail is obvious. ... sadly, many rights owners don't get that almost all of their titles are already being streamed worldwide within day to a week ... the pirates are always there as an alternative ... ... so they do things like guessing how much money each country will bring in and pick and choose. If they had any sense, they'd say, "OK, worldwide English Language rights, exclusive streaming for the season and thirty days ~ who will give me the best deal", and sort out later which series stay in the streaming catalog and which go out to a DVD distributor. In a day of boxsets, a DVD release within thirty days of the end of the season just is not happening anyway, so there's no real interference with having full exclusive rights to sell. |

They showed at the end of Season 1 the clip for Season 2 so I'm just curious if they didn't plan to 100% make it they shouldn't have shown that clip. You'll be waiting an aweful long time for another season of Saki. Saki was a Gonzo Anime and Gonzo is almost nomore. This year they survived by doing a few in-game animation clips. It's not impossible though .. for instance another studio ended up taking on Strike Witches to do the 2nd season, but I wouldnt count on it ever happening. Saki is Square-Enix property, it was a manga first. It's probably their decision. Anime can switch studio between seasons, the copyright holder for the original work (the manga in this case) can just hire someone else, unlesss the original contract blocks that (no idea what they're like). Original anime are quite rare; most are adaptaions of manga, (light)novels or games. Even originals can change studios, like the new Eva films or Macross. It had caught up with the manga, they could just wait till there's more to animate, filler tends to be bad. Moe shows also tend to lose popularity fairly quickly, it might just not be worth doing a season 2. |

Isn't Singapore the biggest English market. |
