If they keep at the same pace the next arc would need about 16 episodes
and we still won't get to Kumagawa
will get to see Naze though, so hurray.
It's kind of a shame that the series uses up 10 episodes before it starts to show it's true colors. The Manga is doing pretty well right now (something like 3 million) and is filled with all kinds of weird fights and a lot of fun characters.
Well now that things are finally hitting the good stuff maybe a 2nd season will do well enough to push into a full run

Ye, indeed so hopefully the next season will stay true to those colors.
I'm also curious on how tomorrow's episode (the final one) will play out to wrap up this season 1.

I hope it'll end with the whole Chairman Shiranui scene, and the explanation on Abnormals/Flask Plan.
Can't wait for season 2.
I really want to see how they voice Naze.

Because before Medaka and her student council go down in the elevator to beat the abnormals, they're confronted by the Plus 6 or something like that. Unzen and a bunch of abnormals that sided with Medaka held them off while Medaka and gang take the elevator down.
After Medaka and her gang beat the abnormals, they go back up, but then they see their allies AND the Plus 6 defeated. Then you see Kumagawa, That would be at chapter 55 or so.
Unless the anime ended at Oudo being beaten and they don't go up the elevator.

I wasn't a fan of the manga, but the anime is working better for me. I think the voice acting and especially the music in the last two episodes have been the main factors. I'm looking forward to the second season now.

I have never read the manga before and from the last show that I watched this is getting interesting... Some foreshadowing is going on and I want to see where it takes me. I like shows with strong women that can hold there own and this girl is insane strong. Good thing she is not evil hmm or is she?

I've watched the first few episodes and it wasn't very good. I was kind of disappointed, especially after hearing about how good it was from a friend of mine. ^_^;

She's not evil at least not yet, although judging from the previous episodes, the brutality that she displayed hints a more violent side of her's. I doubt she's actually evil or turn to the side though.
Note: I haven't read the manga yet either.

I too have not read the manga and am loving the anime so far. Packed full of action and mind games really interesting have not been bored yet by any means

skip ahead a bit
The Swimming contest at 5 and 6 isn't bad but the real series starts at 10 and 11, unfortunately the season ends at 12.. It's one of those cases where the series needs time to get the ball rolling but wasn't given enough episodes to really get going. Season 2 however is going to be full throttle action

so a second season cant wait, although the lack of action was a bit of disappointment for me the humor side was definitely good enough for me. so i believe it was a great show and season two should awesome ^^

Season 2 is going to most likely start with full throttle action
If they keep with the 2 chapters an episode pace they are going to need 16 episodes so they might shave things a little to fit it into 12.
or maybe we'll get a nice surprise and the show will Beelzebub on us and get a full ongoing run. (Or at least a season 3, I want Kumagawa damn it)
