Greylurker wrote: Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Have to say I am kind of interested in Monet. The most recent chapter seems to indicate she a full out shape shifter instead of just a harpy. Originally I thought she had been mutated like the Centaur-Pirates but she could be a Zoan type fruit user following Law in bird form, If she is a Zoan, I find it interesting that she doesn't seem willing to go to a full human form anymore, keeping the wings even for writing instead of switching to hands. There are still so many things to cover. If Oda said we reached the half way mark when the time skip happened so maybe it will go on for another 15 years. |

I was skeptical to watch One Piece but I watched 550 episodes in 2 weeks I just couldn't stop. I would have to say it is the best shounen anime out there currently.

I cried a lot... Haha, yeah. One Piece is easily the most epic and one of the most emotional anime I've watched; and it never lets up. You think you've turned a corner and then something else amazing happens. Some of the best writing in the world, I swear. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide I'll never forget the scene after Zoro encounters Kuma and he's taken in all that pain and he literally looks soaked in blood and then he tells Sanji, "Nothing is wrong". OMG, so badass. |

Yeah that was probably one of the coolest things I've seen up there with SSJ2 Gohan, Ichigo saving Rukia, and pretty much everything from Nurarihyon No Mago that Rikuo does.

If only those animators stayed for the rest of the series ;_; Also it pains me to say, but a filler arc is coming soon for Onepiece and I think I have an Idea for it. It would be awesome if they fall into a deep sleep, and the deep sleep involves them fighting different enemies that have appeared throughout the story as their past and present selves to wake up. So it could be Sanji from the East Blue arc fighting arlong and when they are in these dream sequences they aren't aware they are dreaming and are living out the story (for example Sanji wandering into Nami's village for whatever reason and sees what Arlongs done, and decides to take him and his whole crew out, and he does this through his strategical tactics and his brute strength). And as they defeat different enemies they regain more of their memories and eventually wake up after facing these "trials." I don't know, I just think that it sounds like an interesting filler arc and I'd love to see things like TS Zoro/Sanji each fighting PS Luffy, Zoro vs Jyabura, Sanji vs Kaku, TS Ussop vs Enel, Sanji or Zoro from Enis Loby vs Enel. Ah, I guess I've made my point... I just think it would make for an interesting story arc and I wish the writers of the anime would think of doing it... And I just wanted to know, is there a reason that the One piece anime uses amateur animators for the majority of their episodes?

i love one piece! the old style and the random but still on track storyline with more action then most others with barely any "just talking" ep's!!!!!!!

Actually I don't see that happening. The anime started doing a 1 chapter per episode ever since the Marineford arc. If they are doing 1 chapter per episode there is no need for a filler arc. We may get some filler episodes in the arc itself (like in the Post-war arc with Luffy, Ace and Sabo meeting the old man and fighting the tiger) but not a whole filler arc. I say we're going to get 1 or 2 filler episodes at the end of the Fishman island arc because it's an appropriate place to do a filler episode. Sometimes they make implied fillers in an episode which they did a couple weeks ago and in my opinion they were good. To sum it up, I don't think there will be any more filler arcs in One Piece if they stick with the 1 chapter per episode form. |

Even after a decade I still love this series and can't wait for the new boxsets from Funimation to be released. I've grown to really dread watching Naruto and really hate Bleach now but One Piece is still consistantly Good every time I watch it

Sshadow wrote: Also it pains me to say, but a filler arc is coming soon for Onepiece And I just wanted to know, is there a reason that the One piece anime uses amateur animators for the majority of their episodes? Well animation costs a lot and good animators don't come cheap. Look at all those frames they have to do, especially animators like Ryo Onishi. It is a little annoying that the animation most of the time is pretty standard, but Toei animation isn't particularly known for it's animation. They are starting to step it up though in terms of animation I think. Some of the animations they do for Toriko are very well done and I don't think One Piece's animation is as bland as it used to be. Ever since Enies Lobby it's slowly gotten better imo. If they do actually do filler I don't think it would be an entire arc. If they do do filler episodes I would like to see some more stuff from their training during those 2 years. |
