What anime has made you feel the most emotion?

Name as many as you want but be sure to give reasons why! To start off the anime I found that provoked different emotions was Kokoro Connect because of its rather deliberately confusing story, with so much going on and different characters all over the place it felt at times it was frustrating, times when it was pleasant and made me feel happy and times when it was genuinely sad (Examples to follow in spoiler below). I find it rare for an anime to make me think so much but this is a welcome change. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide - Happy moments: Inaba being pleasantly girly for once. The friend aspect. Aoki in general... - Sad moments: Iori's supposedly impending death. The problems of the various characters. - Frustrating moments: The breakup of the group, Heartseed in general. - Weird yet hilarious moments: If you watched one episode in particular you know all about Taichi's secret.

	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 9/21/12 Claanad (however the hell you spell it) and the sequel. Probably the sequel more now that I think about it. The Kyou and Tomoyo plot arc episodes were amazing.

Click to show or hide Ef - Tale of memories I just marathoned and almost had a panic attack as Renji was reading the ending of Chihiro's novel. I thought she was going to jump off the roof. It was bad enough that she tore Renji out of her memory diary. And the scene where Miyako has been stood up by Hiro and she leaves a zillion phone messages... Then when she runs away at the end and she is on the phone with Hiro and her phonecard is running out, counting down... Oh such an emotional series. Kokoro Connect, Tari Tari and Dusk Maiden of Amnesia too recently. Mysterious Girlfriend X more in the manga. Just started the Kokoro Connect light novels.

Re-watching Kenshin has been really emotional as well for some reason but I mean ... the highest highs and the lowest lows have to go to Clannad for me. As for recent examples (not in order) Hyouka Tari Tari Kokoro Connect.

Click to show or hide Obviously super emotional when Heartseed took over Iori, pitched her into the river, told them one of their personalities would die but let them choose and say goodbye to their friends, at first she as strong but then she broke down while inside Inaba's body. Incredible stuff. I yelled no... Inaba pretending to be Iori to check if Taichi was right that he would always know her personality. She feared losing herself because she molded her personality as she thought was expected of her. Heartseed telling Inaba that Taichi had fallen, presumably off a cliff to his death when it was just off a branch. Her professing her love to him, even though he loves Iori.

I always feel emotional. Not ashamed to say i cried at these points. Ace's Death Obito's Death Naruto seeing his mother for the first time and a long time ago when butter-free left ash. Don't ask I still don't think I'm over it.

I also had a rough time with Narutaru. I must have grown a thicker hide in the last ten years, because nothing newer than that has hit me as hard as either of those.
