About 24,000 years ago our species, Homo sapiens were not alone in the world, our closest relatives the Neanderthals(Homo neanderthalensis) were still well and alive. The so-called 'hobbit' found in Indonesia might also have been a member of the genus Homo, and supposedly survived until as recently as 12,000 years ago.
So why did they die and we survive? Did infections, disease or radical shifts in their environments kill them off? Or did our species do away with them? Some evidence exists for both scenarios, but no conclusion is agreed upon

We killed them off. Same with the Neanderthals. Although some of their DNA has survived since we used them as sex slaves.

I guess back then it mattered more . I saw on GMA this morning one of the guy said " If a man couldn't gather enough stuff or hunt enough animals back in those days , they would've died. Nowadays, if you can't do almost the equivalent , you get benefits and discounts. "

Interesting topic. I tend to lean on the side of the environment as I think that modern man wouldn't of went out of their way to kill them, I think fights would of mostly ensued over territory. Sometimes I think I'm a genetic throw back to the Neanderthals haha.

Neanderthals didn't die out. They evolved and ascended into a higher frequency/dimension/density. After that event they traveled to space since they became extremely intellectually advanced. They had significantly larger brains than modern humans, larger brains usually meant higher intelligence.
Everything we think we know to be true about our past, our evolution, and our creation is not true.

Crazy how I took an Anthropology class last year but cannot remember what my professor said (made a great grade too lol). But I do remember this was a big topic that was brought up near the end of the year and we had to do an essay about what side of the issue we stood on.
Gonna go out on a limb (with no idea what I wrote in my essay) and say that it was because of competition for resources |
